Tours for Schools
You would like to visit us ...
... and are looking for topics for a field trip? Our educational offers tailored to the different age groups provide answers to (nearly) all questions! We DO NOT offer frontal tours, but always work in the form of a dialogue—WITH our visitors and FOR them. The majority of our educational work is aimed at pupils and teachers. Over the years, a diverse range of different themes and approaches has emerged.
Of festivals and celebrations
Everything and a little bit more about Jewish religion, tradition and customs: Objects, photos and film clips tell about festivals and rituals. You get to know something new or find out even more about something you already know.
Of history (histories) and culture
With the help of objects from our showcases, famous and even completely unknown people explain how Jewish women and men have been influencing “Our City!” for more than 800 years. We let them have their say, but give the young visitors of the 21st century a chance to speak, too!
The memory of the years 1938 to 1945 is important; the debate about the exclusion, persecution and murder of Austrian Jews is part of the curriculum. With letters, diaries, dollhouse furniture, photos and favorite songs lists, a personal approach to people, not to victims, succeeds.
A little bit of everything or just a teeny bit of it? If you cannot decide, find everything important or for the first impression, this access provides (just about) everything. You request it, we play it!
